Education and Career
After 15 years of work in the architecture and interior design fields,
Jane has kept a studio in Anacortes working as a visual artist again for the past 11 years. In the 1970's, she worked
as a painter and sculptor before entering the University of Oregon Architecture program, showing at Maude Kerns Art Center,
U of O and Lane Community College galleries. Before attending the U of O, Jane received an Associate of Arts degree and studied
at Maude Kerns Art Center. After graduating from the U of O with a B.A. from the Architecture and Allied Arts School, Summa
cum Laude in 1987, she worked in the architecture design field and owned her own interior design firm. Jane was appointed
Culture Department. vice position and served several years within the Buddhist community of artists. Later she served as an
Arts Department regional leader in SGI-USA.
